Recent Changes

WELCOME TO MS. L' S HOMEROOM!!!
I hope you all had a great summer.
Remember the purpose of homeroom is to receive information and share some time in prayer.
Every morning, my expectation for you is to come in and back your bags. Then, sit and read quietly until we begin prayer. There should not be used as a time to chat and you will be disciplined if you are talking during prayer or announcements.
First event: CHANGE FOR A CURE.... we will be collecting loose change as our annual cystic fibrosis fund raiser. Please begin to collect that change now. That will begin on September 5th.

August 2011
This first month of school will be begun with a writing project.
The introductory writing project: TBA... you can also look for instructions on the blog: Corpus of English. There is a link on the home page.
Then, we will be starting our review of parts of speech.
Remember there are EIGHT parts of speech.
The verb, the noun, the pronoun, the adjective, the adverb, the preposition, the conjunction, and the interjection.
Each part of speechpart of speech explains not what the word is, but how the word is used.
